About SIRF Research

SIRF is a research tool for Indian equities. It finds what is worth a second look, writes up the reasoning, and leaves the decision where it belongs.

Why it exists

Most tools tell you what moved. That is the easy half, and it is the half that is already free everywhere. The harder question — whether a move should change what you own, and what would prove the whole idea wrong — is the one that costs people money, and almost nothing helps with it.

So SIRF is built around the mistakes rather than the predictions: chasing a move without understanding it, collecting tips instead of building a thesis, buying without an exit, and forgetting last month's research entirely. None of those are solved by a faster chart.

What it will not do

  • It does not predict prices, and does not claim to.
  • It does not place trades or touch a broking account.
  • It does not manage money, and never holds any beyond credits you have bought.
  • It does not sell tips, calls or a signal to follow blindly.
  • It does not promise returns, and publishes no track record, because it has not measured one.

SIRF is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser or research analyst, and does not hold itself out as one. It produces written analysis. Every decision, and every consequence of it, is the reader's own.

How it is built

The expensive work is done once and shared. The market-wide scan runs on a schedule each trading day and every reader gets the same list; one market brief is written each morning and handed to everybody. Neither is re-computed per person, which is why they can be free.

What is charged for is what genuinely costs something per reader: a written report on one company, a scan of a watchlist only you hold, advice on a book only you own. Credits are ₹5 each and never expire, and nothing is charged until you ask for something.

Who runs it

SIRF is built and operated by one person — SHIV PRASAD SAHOO — as a registered micro-enterprise in Odisha, India. There is no team, no outside funding and no sales department.

That is stated plainly because it is checkable, and because it sets a reasonable expectation: support is one person answering an email, and the roadmap moves at the speed one person can move it.
